Irish Mule Recipe
Introducing a tasty spin on the Moscow Mule, the Irish Mule is irresistibly refreshing! This drink is perfect for whiskey newcomers since it’s bubbly, light, and easy to make. If you’re looking for a reason to use that copper mug set your coworker gifted you years ago, try this Irish Mule recipe.
What is an Irish Mule?
The Irish Mule is a refreshing cocktail made of Irish whiskey, ginger beer, and lime juice served over ice in a copper mug. It offers a new take on the classic Moscow Mule for whiskey drinkers. Traditionally, the Moscow Mule is served in a copper mug because the ice-cold copper adds a sensory element to the drinking experience. We recommend using a copper mug for your Irish Mule to get the full experience, but it can be served in any glass of your choice!
How to Make an Irish Mule
To make an Irish Mule, you don’t need to be an experienced mixologist. It’s as simple as pouring the three ingredients into a copper mug.
- Add ice to a copper mug or glass of your choice
- Pour 1.5 oz Kinnitty Castle Irish Whiskey (we like the Dapper Blend!)
- Squeeze the juice of half of a lime
- Top it off with half a cup of ginger beer
- Garnish with a lime wedge
This recipe tastes great with any Irish whiskey, but we prefer to use the Dapper Blend. We love the way its notes of vanilla fruity esters complement the ginger beer. Order a bottle today to try our Irish twist on this classic cocktail. You may like it even more than the original!
